Join staff, volunteers, and partners of the Pennsylvania Military Museum in commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act of 1948 -the law that enabled women to serve as permanent & regular members of the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps.
The Museum will partner with several other Commonwealth Agencies, and local businesses for this commemoration, spanning two weekends, presented as a conference with the theme of, “Women of the Past connecting to Women of the Present.”
Speakers include Brigadier General Weigl, the Deputy Adjutant General for Veteran Affairs. The Museum is also excited to partner with the Women’s Memorial at Arlington Cemetery in their effort to register active duty and veteran women for their memorial.
Discover how Women's military experiences of the past inform the legacy of the present with a series of lectures and panel discussions. Events will take place August 5th, August 6th, and August 12th.
