Mr. Picerno’s presentation will present, “The Controversial Mortal Wounding of General Joseph Mansfield at Antietam.” September 17, 2022, marks the 160th Anniversary of the Battle of Antietam where General Mansfield wrongly shouted “You are firing on your own men” before he was mortally wounded.  Mr. Picerno has unpublished photographs and letters on the subject that he will share with us. Lecture will take place in the Museum’s theater, is free and open to the public.
