Online Lecture - Korean Service Corps – Unsung Heroes of the Korean War

Join LTC Gary Whitacre for a lecture moderated by Pennsylvania Military Museum site administrator, Tyler O. Gum.

The Korean Service Corps (KSC), initially known as the “Civilian Transportation Corps”, was activated on July 26th, 1950 to support United Nations (U.N.) forces during the Korean War. The members of the KSC provided logistics transportation using A-Frames while supporting U.N Forces on foot. This is how they became known as the “A-Frame Army”. During the Korean War the KSC made irreplaceable difference at the Nakdong River Line and countless other battles throughout the conflict. Today the KSC is the US Army’s largest Battalions with over 2,000 Korean Service Corps members providing sustainment support throughout the Korean Peninsula.
