The Bloody Bucket

Join author and editorial professional, Mr. Tom Schalata, a native of Pottstown, PA, for a lecture detailing his grandfather’s military service in World War One as a solider in the 28th Division.

Lecture is free and open to the public, no tickets or reservation required. Seating is first come first served. Donations appreciated.

Tom Schalata, who currently resides in Lancaster County, PA, enjoyed a 40-year career in both advertising and editorial while working for the following Pennsylvania newspapers: The Guardian, Pottstown; The Daily Republican/The Phoenix, Phoenixville; The Daily Local News, West Chester, and The Tri-County Record, Morgantown.

A graduate of Peirce College, Philadelphia, he was the editor-in-chief and sports editor of the college newspaper, The Peircetonian.

In addition to The Bloody Bucket, Schalata has published the following works of non-fiction: A 40 year History of Performance Inc., a Pottstown-based car club, From Poznan to Pottstown: A Family History, and The Gospels According to St. Stephen's, a 90-year history of St. Stephen the Martyr P.N.C.C. (Polish National Catholic Church).

A portion of the proceeds from book sales will benefit the Berks Military History Museum, Mohnton, PA.
